A tragic accident occurred Sunday night in Northern Indiana. A young boy was badly burnt while attending a birthday party in Chesterton, Indiana. It was reported that an employee of a Valparaiso party organizing business, Popo’s Parties, threw a bottle of gasoline on a fire that exploded and burnt the young boy.

Fires and explosions can have devastating consequences for victims and their loved ones, and they are more common than most people think. The National Fire Protection Association reports that, on average, there is a fire in a United States home every 79 seconds. These same statistics show that, on average, someone dies in a fire every two to three hours. The emotional trauma and devastating physical injuries suffered by burn victims and their loved ones is often compounded by the financial impact of these disasters. Medical bills, lost wages, extensive future medical care, psychological issues, impairment, and damage to property can all take a tremendous toll. At The Hastings Law Firm in Indianapolis, Indiana, burn injury victims can find an experienced personal injury lawyer to provide effective legal representation.
